Lucy Chieng Gardens is located on 413-425 Beamish Street, Campsie. This 12 one-bedsitter and 22 studio unit block and its garden with a fish pond has been refurbished with all essential amenities for quality independent senior living.
The 34 units are on two levels with lift access. A library is located on the first floor with Chinese newspapers, books and magazines. There is a communal dining area on the ground floor where Chinese dinner is served each evening from a commercially equipped kitchen. Chinese satellite televisions are set up at the dining hall and activity room for communal viewing. The activity room is located on the first floor for social gathering, table games and day care activities. The Australian Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FAHCSIA) has funded a kiosk with 2 computers which allow residents to have internet access and learn about the cyber world via the Broadband for Seniors program.
