Dementia Chinese Help Line - 1800 300 386

Dementia Chinese Helpline is a partnership program run by ANHF and Alzheimer’s Australia NSW. This dedicated hotline is to serve people with Chinese background to connect and receive important health information about dementia and memory loss as well as the services available to help them,in their own language. Callers who speak Mandarin or Cantonese are able to speak to bi-lingual trained volunteers and all the conversation will be treated as strictly confidential.

The office base has relocated to ANHF head office in Burwood from Alzheimer’s NSW since October 2010. It means that the staff and volunteers will be better supported culturally.

Enquiries include information about dementia, early warning signs, available treatment and services, Chinese doctors, behavior of concern, Aged Care Assessment Team, nursing home, respite care, and ways of reducing the risk of dementia.
