Australian Nursing Home Foundation is founded in 1980. It is one of the largest Chinese specific aged care organisation in Australia.

| In early 1977, a project was commissioned to study the needs of the frail aged of Chinese background and their accessibility to residential aged care facilities. This project was concluded with a submission tabled by Mr Hatton Kwok OAM in July 1977 at the Executive Committee Meeting of the Australian Chinese Community Association (ACCA). | ||||

The outcome led to the establishment of a charitable Trust on 25 February 1980 with ACCA donated one hundred dollars to set up this Trust and was named in the Trust Deed as its founder. The Foundation trustees were Dr Chen Ya Huang MBE, Mr Hatton Kwok OAM, Ms Angeline OÝang OAM, Mr Yick Chong Louie MBE and Mr Keep Fong OAM The Chinese name of the Australian Nursing Home Foundation was adopted to commemorate the initiatives taken by ACCA. The Foundation was granted with a charitable organisation status from the Australian Taxation Office in 1980. |

In 1982, with a humble start, ANHF launched its first project through purchasing the Montrose Nursing Home with 21 beds in Strathfield. After 30 years of concerted effort of all the members of ANHF, the Foundation is currently managing three residential facilities, three elderly housing sites, four elderly day care centers and involves in six community service programs. |
