Stanley Hunt Centre

Stanley Hunt Centre, located in Ultimo, currently runs two day care programs for the frail aged Chinese (over 65 years old) who live in the local geographic areas of City of Sydney, Leichardt and Marrickville.

Respite for Working Carers Program

The objective of this program is to provide respite to primary carers who are working or looking for work. Carers pampering programs organized on a regular basis to provide education, information, relaxation, personal support and establish network among carers.
Activities for the frail clients include gentle exercise, indoor and outdoor games to improve and enhance motor coordination and mental stimulation, outings to scenic attractions, talks on informative and recreational topics by knowledgeable speakers.

The venue is facilitated with satellite Chinese TV.
The program runs every Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm.

Dementia Day Care Program

ANHF provides dementia day care and transport for older people with dementia. The centre-based day care comprise of activities which help socializing and networking, to improve and enhance motor coordination and mental stimulation and retain daily living skills.

This program operates one day per week from 9am to 4pm.

Transportation and lunch are provided for the participants and satellite TV programs in Chinese can be enjoyed in the spacious lounge area.

Fee

• program and meal: $6

• $5 return

No one will be denied service due to inability to pay.
