Individual’s interests, customs, beliefs and cultural backgrounds are valued and fostered; and can enjoy life by maintaining and improving functional activities of daily living. Independence Older people are assisted to achieve maximum independence; they are encouraged to maintain friendships and participate in the life of the community within and outside the facility. Participation Older people and his/her delegates are encouraged to have full participation in discussions and making decisions about the services the older people receive. Rights Older people’s rights to privacy, dignity and confidentiality are recognized and respected; older people and his/her representatives are entitled to exercise choices and control over his/her lifestyles while not infringing on the rights of others. Equity All clients are treated equally and fairly. Integrity Our Board and Staff are open, honest and ethical. Professionalism Our Board and Staff have appropriate knowledge and skills in achieving the highest level of standards in our practices and comply with professional standards and regulatory requirements. Safety and environment An overriding commitment of the Management is to provide a safe and comfortable living environment consistent with the care needs of our care recipients, as well as a safe environment for our employees and visitors in accordance with the regulatory requirements of the Australian Government authorities. |
