Volunteers play an important role in the development and provision of our quality services, so we can continue to support elderly Australians through a variety of aged care services and programs.
Our vision is to be the model provider of culturally appropriate residential and community aged care in Australia.

Our Story
1980 ANHF Started the Journey
Australian Nursing Home Foundation registered as a Charitable Trust on 25th February.
Since 1980, the Australian Nursing Home Foundation has provided valuable care and support services to ageing Australian people from Chinese, Southeast Asian and other backgrounds. As one of the leading and largest providers of culturally specific residential and community-based aged care in New South Wales, we look forward to continuing this long tradition of excellence in decades to come. Our specialist expertise and dedication will ensure our elders continue to live positively, age actively and feel empowered to choose the care and support they need and want to receive.
1981
We purchased the 21-bed Montrose Nursing Home in Strathfield.
1983
We received a grant of $173,391 from the Australian Government for the Montrose Nursing Home.
1988
We were allocated 24 housing units by the State Government at Poplar Street, Surry Hills.
1992
We opened Chow Cho Poon Nursing Home, which was cited as the ‘Best Practice Ethnic-Specific Nursing Home’ in 1995.
1997
We commissioned and refurbished a nursing home in Burwood – Bernard Chan Nursing Home was born.
2004
We received a grant from the State Government to open Stanley Hunt Centre in Ultimo to support people with dementia in South East Sydney.
2008
So Wai Lifestyle Activity Centre opened – the first dementia day care centre for Southeast Asian communities and a demonstration site for Day Dementia Respite for Carers of the Southeast Asian community.
2009
Mr Wilson Chieng donated 34 units in Campsie and we named the building Lucy Chieng Gardens in honour of his late mother. We received a Capital Grant of $3.5 million.
2010
We launched the Consumer Directed Care Pilot Package and Extended Community Aged Care Packages (CACP/EACH) Dementia.
2011
We opened the purpose-built Lucy Chieng Aged Care Centre thanks to $1,000,000 donation from Mr Wilson Chieng.
2012
So Wai Lifestyle Activity Centre received Home and Community Care funding to expand Dementia Respite Day Care. We started HACC Multicultural Centre-based Day Centres in Inner West and South West Sydney, which included 16 groups covering 7 languages.
2014
Home Care Packages increased to 200 packages, doubling the number of service recipients.
2017
We launched the ‘Voice – Staff Engagement Survey’ designed by an independent consultancy to obtain staff feedback to identify areas of improvement.
ANHF successfully secured $18,500 per annum for delivering personal care for 9 additional clients in Western Sydney through CHSP Growth Funding Round 2016.
2018
In partnership with TVB Anywhere, ANHF hosted the popular Australian Seniors Health Expo that attracted over 6,000 attendees.
Received grant from the Department of Health to deliver Community Visitors Scheme.
2019
Further funding received for Commonwealth Home Support Program to expand our services (support at home, social support – individual and group, flexible respite and personal care) that cover six regions (Nepean, South West Sydney, South East Sydney, Inner West, Northern Sydney and Western Sydney).
Innovation Funding was also granted to conduct ‘A Room to the World’ and Speak Your Language Call Monitoring Program.
In partnership with TVB Anywhere, ANHF hosted the popular Australian Seniors Expo that attracted over 10,000 attendees.
2021
Construction work begins on our new residential aged care development in Gordon – with 78 en-suites (72 single rooms and 6 double rooms).
2023

- 澳华养老在悉尼宝活收购了一块开发用地，用于未来服务扩展。
- 作为市场领导者，澳华养老在高龄护理院舍中引入高龄科技应用，并为本地和国际公司建立共同创造的协作环境
2024
- 黄应荣疗养院荣获第十二届亚太高龄护理创新奖年度创新奖（复康计划）。
- 澳华养老成功收购一间位于Thornleigh拥有 67 张宿位的高龄疗养院，自 2024 年 11 月起一直由ANHF管理。
2025
- 澳华养老在车士活大厅举行筹款首映式，庆祝机构成立45周年。
- 使用新的澳华养老标志进行品牌重塑。
