The primary objective of this role is to provide high quality programs/activities and meaningful engagement for frail elderly Chinese and Vietnamese people, people living with dementia or other chronic conditions; and to support their carers and the relationship between the client and carer.

The Requirements

Essential

  • Motivation and commitment to caring for the elderly
  • Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care or Certificate IV in Leisure & Health
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in aged or community based services working with older people providing lifestyle services, personal care and/or other support services
  • Evidence of good communication skills, including fluency in written and spoken Chinese and basic skills in written and spoken English
  • Evidence of a good team building, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of WH&S, EEO and anti-discrimination legislative requirements

Registered Nurse

Provide a leading role in clinical care to residents. Responsible for all the required processes in the provision of high quality care services in ANHF Nursing home. Support Care Manager in providing information, advice, referral and direct support services to residents in meeting their identified care needs. Provides direction, support and guidance to team leaders to ensure their teams are effectively engaged in the delivery of person centred care to residents, and monitors activities against specific performance requirements.
