Lucy Chieng Aged Care Centre is located in Hurstville (SE Sydney Region) where a high proportion of population is of Chinese and Indo Chinese origins. 

This new facility begins its operation in February 2011. It is a valuable resource to address the great demand for culturally appropriate residential service in southern part of Metropolitan Sydney. This is the first ANHF facility to provide low level (hostel) care.

The Centre has 71 bedrooms with ensuites It comprises of 15 low care rooms; 55 high care rooms of which 15 rooms are designated for dementia care and one room for residential respite.

The provision of dementia care rooms allows people living with dementia to be suitably placed in a purpose-built environment. . Residential respite services with dementia specific care will also be addressed, yet another identified need within the local community.

This new facility is a significant milestone in ANHF’s history as it is the largest building project ANHF has undertaken. The total cost (including land and construction cost) is well over $17 million.
